How to Apply
A MeGIF project application should be submitted to the MeGIF Program Manager who will review all proposals before they are submitted to the MeGIF Board for its consideration. Government Departments and Agencies covered by the Enterprise Agreement are eligible for MeGIF funding.

Project Submissions
A project submission includes a project description, a prospective plan, budget and identification of the kinds of partners (or in-house staff) required. It is anticipated that five to eight projects per year will be granted funding. These applications are then reviewed against cost/benefit, risk/reward, functionality and policy guidelines. The criteria for approval are designed to be simple yet comprehensive. Submissions can be made at any time throughout the year. Approvals for new projects are made at the closest Board meeting following the receipt of the submission. Government probity guidelines are observed throughout the process. The decision of the Board is final and there is no process of appeal.

All projects must involve the development of applications or implementation of solutions using Microsoft products, although other platforms and products may be incorporated (eg. integration/interoperation with legacy systems).  MeGIF funds may only be used to purchase consulting services from Microsoft Partners or Microsoft Consulting Services – funds may not be used to purchase hardware or software licenses.
